Why LoRaWAN ?
LoRaWAN overcomes limitations of other wireless communication technologies by its inherent low bandwidth, low power and long range capabilities. LoRaWan is a great answer for battery-powered sensors and devices that can communicate over long distances and have low data-rates. To be specific: LoRa-based solution can operate for over five years on an energy equivalent of a single AA battery while sending a signal as far as 15 miles in the open.
